Riddle Hospital Celebrates 41st Annual Pro-Am Golf Classic in Honor of Dr. John C. Munshower

Riddle Hospital recently hosted its 41st Annual Pro-Am Golf Classic, honoring the legacy of the late Dr. John C. Munshower. The long-standing event brought together avid golfers and healthcare professionals for a day filled with camaraderie and charity.

Event leadership

The Pro-Am Golf Classic was co-chaired by Colleen Arnold and Dave Hackett, Esq., with Dr. John Feehery serving as the Physician Chair. Donna Evangelist, the Sponsorship Chair, played a crucial role in securing partnerships and financial support for the event.

Player participation and special guests

A total of 49 foursomes, consisting of both amateurs and professionals, participated in this year's tournament. In addition, 35 celebrities and pro golfers joined the participants, adding excitement to the competition and giving players the chance to tee off alongside some well-known names.

Fundraising success

This year's Pro-Am Classic raised over $204,000, with funds specifically directed toward Riddle's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department. This year, we celebrated a significant milestone—40 years of exemplary service provided by our EMS team, which was first established and remains based at Riddle Hospital. Main Line Health and Riddle EMS have set the standard for emergency care in the region. The funds raised from this event will help Riddle Hospital expand its ambulance fleet and incorporate the latest advanced technologies and equipment.

Introducing The Dr. John C. Munshower Memorial Cup

This year's event also introduced a prestigious new accolade — the Dr. John C. Munshower Memorial Cup, awarded to the team with the lowest score that includes a Main Line Health employee. Named in memory of Dr. Munshower, the cup symbolizes his lasting impact on the Riddle Hospital community and the healthcare field.
