Congratulations to our May Employee Award Honorees!

In May, we had the great privilege of honoring two exemplary employees for their hard work and dedication to Paoli Hospital. We presented Jackie Holmes with the Sandy McAleer Nursing Award during National Nurses Week and Beth Slater with the Barbara Tachovsky 5 Star Care Award during National Hospital Week.
The Sandy McAleer Nursing Award was established in April 2010 and is given to one nurse annually to honor Sandy’s nursing career and her generous spirit of volunteerism. Jackie’s impressive depth of technical expertise, tremendous dedication to her patients and admirable volunteer work made her the ideal recipient of this award. Among various volunteer activities, most notably, Jackie is a volunteer on the Be My Eyes application which is an app that connects blind or low vision users who want assistance with volunteers through live video to assist with sight needed activities.
Each year, we honor one employee with the Barbara Tachovsky 5 Star Care Award during National Hospital Week. The selected honoree exhibits our 5 Star Care Behaviors: Sensitive, Trusted, Action-Oriented and Relationship Driven. Beth is known for always putting patients first, and she regularly receives 5 Star care cards for her unrivaled patient care. Beth also took it upon herself to reintegrate into the Breast Biopsy team at Paoli where she works in addition to time spent at the Main Line Health Collegeville location. This has not only supported staffing needs at the hospital but further represents Beth's dedication to her field.
It was wonderful to celebrate Jackie and Beth’s many accomplishments with colleagues, family, and friends. Both honorees received $2,000 from the Paoli Hospital Foundation to show our appreciation. Congratulations, Jackie and Beth, and thank you for all you do!
