Bryn Mawr Rehab Experts Present at Statewide Brain Injury Conference

We’re proud to share that several members of the Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital team were featured presenters at the 2025 Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania (BIAPA) Annual Conference — one of the state’s leading gatherings of brain injury professionals, advocates, and survivors.

Speech-language pathologists Catherine Pickard, MS, CCC-SLP, and Kate Turner, MS, CCC-SLP, presented on the impact and benefits of inpatient peer mentoring, a key component of our person-centered approach to rehabilitation.

In another session, Dr. Brian McDonald, DO, Paige Smith, MSS, LSW, and Julianna Chubb, MS, OTR/L, presented on return-to-work strategies for individuals recovering from brain injury, highlighting innovative interdisciplinary practices that support long-term recovery and independence.
