Celebrating Creativity at the Philadelphia Flower Show

Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital Foundation
Philadelphia Flower Show

This year, Bryn Mawr Rehab’s Horticultural Therapy team brought their creativity and talent to the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show, which embraced the theme “Rooted: Origins of American Gardening.”

Team members Patti Kelly and Pam Young designed and submitted an entry in the “Tip of the Hat” category, inspired by the Colonial time period. Their exhibit beautifully captured the spirit of the theme, blending historical influence with artistic expression.

The judges took notice, with one commenting that the piece was an “exuberant embodiment of ‘Rooted’ on this romantic colonial darling.”

Their work earned an impressive score of 90 out of 100, along with a third place ribbon and a class commendation ribbon.

We are incredibly proud of Patti, Pam, and our Horticultural Therapy team for showcasing the power of creativity in the healing process. Opportunities like this highlight how therapeutic programs can inspire confidence, self expression, and connection beyond the walls of the hospital.
