Investing in New Technology and Equipment at Paoli Hospital

As we look ahead to the future of care here at Paoli Hospital, acquiring innovative technology and equipment is a top priority. That’s why we created the Technology and Equipment Fund that will enable us to secure the most advanced technologies in the field, such as the latest minimally invasive da Vinci 5 robot.
Because medical equipment is evolving at such an extraordinary pace, our leadership has made the strategic decision to lease the da Vinci 5 robot, allowing us to upgrade to the latest model as it becomes available. Minimally invasive surgical robots benefit patient care with faster recovery times and shorter hospital stays.
Paoli continues to invest in other critical pieces of equipment with donor support such as dental imaging equipment for our special needs population which allows for more accessible patient positioning and reduces anxiety during procedures. Just last year, a new refrigerator for storing blood was purchased for the Emergency Department (ED) by a couple through a generous gift to the Paoli Hospital Foundation. This upgraded equipment has greatly enhanced patient care for our Trauma and ED teams.
Emily Keller, Nurse Manager of our ED, says “This state-of-the-art blood fridge is a game-changer for patient safety and emergency care. By allowing us to store more life-saving blood products directly in our department, it ensures quicker access during critical moments when every second counts.”
Every investment makes a meaningful difference and, when it comes down to it, at the heart of every new piece of equipment is a patient whose life could change for the better. When you support the Technology and Equipment Fund, you’re helping bring vital innovations right to our community, ensuring your loved ones receive the best care possible, close to home.
