Expanding care in the Downingtown region

If you or someone you love needs a doctor, a test, a procedure or follow-up care, access matters. So does time. For patients, families and caregivers, healthcare can quickly become more than an appointment — it can mean taking time away from work, arranging transportation, coordinating schedules and traveling farther than expected for services that should feel within reach.

In western Chester County — one of the fastest-growing areas in southeastern Pennsylvania — that need is becoming more urgent. As the community grows, so does the demand for care that is easier to access, simpler to navigate and connected to the trusted clinical expertise of Main Line Health.

As western Chester County continues to grow, so does the need for healthcare that keeps pace with the community it serves.

Main Line Health Downingtown reflects our commitment to meeting the need by making exceptional care more convenient, with more services closer to where patients and their families live and work.

A new destination for comprehensive outpatient care

Main Line Health is investing in a new, comprehensive health center in Downingtown to meet the needs of a growing region. The center will bring together under one roof primary care, urgent care, specialty services, diagnostic testing, rehabilitation, radiation oncology, infusion therapy services and outpatient procedures — including services that previously may have required a hospital visit.

Care designed around you

Located at the corner of Lloyd and Manor Avenues in Caln Township, Main Line Health Downingtown will bring a wide range of outpatient services together in one convenient destination for western Chester County.

Spanning 148,000 square feet over three stories, the center is designed to meet the needs of today’s patients and families with modern, comprehensive care in one place. To put the scale in perspective, Main Line Health Downingtown will be about the size of two and a half football fields.

Meeting the needs of patients

Healthcare is changing because patients’ needs are changing. More services that once required a hospital visit can now be delivered safely and efficiently in outpatient settings. At the same time, patients and caregivers are looking for care that is easier to reach, easier to coordinate and easier to fit into busy lives.

Main Line Health Downingtown reflects this shift.

The new center will help:

  • Expand access to primary care physicians and specialists
  • Reduce the need to travel among multiple locations
  • Improve coordination across providers
  • Provide care in an efficient, patient-centered environment

For western Chester County residents, the result is simple: more of the care they need, in one place, connected to the Main Line Health network they know and trust.
